Renovated Exterior with Branch Identity

Context:
This project was designed and completed while I was employed at Hooper Shiles Architects. This was for a c.1950s building with turquoise exterior paneling and dated interiors, desperately in need of cosmetic and accessibility upgrades. The site is located among several strip malls along Route 202 with combination ground floor retail and second story office space.
Idea:
Exterior improvements included construction of a remote drive-thru, new landscaping elements, large scale signage, and cost-effective facade upgrades to give the bank a stronger presence in this busy center while providing competitive real estate. Significant interior space planning and finishes upgrades were made in the branch bank to provide brand identity and maximize natural light. Tenant improvements were made to the base building including installation of a new elevator, accessible toilet rooms, and new finishes throughout.
